This is the place where I can express myself as an individual… Someone who is: on a journey that never seems to end, and still trying to find comfort in understanding all the identities that I hold dear, and examining how they interconnect with each other. This blog is truly revolutionary in the sense that I am challenging the patriarchy in “everyday forms of resistance”. By publicly questioning my gender, sexuality, the academic bullshit about being “objective”, and who I’m suppose to me. This is a place where I can discuss these things as well as my life’s passions and desires, which revolve around: love, loss, hope, traveling, faith, weight, food (yum), and women!!! Hope you enjoy reading about my very essence.

White privilege is saying something people of color have been saying for ages and being considered a hero and constantly given validation while the POC who came up with those ideas were considered evil, harmful threats to society.

Solange & Erykah Badu

No way this much beautiful should be allowed in one photo.
Talk about unfair.

if it were possible i would totally ship this

I bet their sex would be off the chain. I’d record it.

if you could consensually record it, i’d probably break a dvd player watching it over and over again

Nicaraguan guerrinna sister breast feeding her baby during the Contra War. Orlando Valenzuela’s photography captures the femininity of revolutionary Sandinista women so beautifully.
“I have learned that a woman can be a fighter, a freedom fighter, a political activist, and that she can fall in love and be loved. She can be married, have children, be a mother. Revolution must mean life also; every aspect of life.” Leila Khaled

Touch the part of your body you feel insecure about. Just place your hand on it. Don’t squeeze, pinch it, or poke it. Just touch it. Keep this physical contact for a while and mentally send positivity and love to that part. You spend so much time over analyzing it, accusing it, and shaming it, so take a moment to just love it for what it is, at this very moment in time. It is a part of you and it is beautiful. You are beautiful. -annieelainey

"Black people do not possess the institutional power necessary to commit racism against you. Racism is systematic oppression and individual actions that uphold said systems. It is institutional. It power + privilege. You and I have neither, so we cannot be racist toward each other. We can be hateful, prejudice, etc., but not racist. Only white people possess the institutional power required to commit racism. Protip: guess who established the institution of Islamaphobia, cause it wasn’t black folks. I collect when I see black people being Islamaphobic, but that ain’t racism."
